City Hall will be closed December 24-25 in observance of the Christmas holiday. There will be no trash collection on Christmas Day; Thursday trash and recycle will be picked up Friday and Friday’s collection will be done Saturday.
Drop off your gently used hardcover or paperback books, music CDs and DVD movies on Thursday and Friday, January 8-9 from noon to 8 p.m. and receive a ticket redeemable for the same number of items during “open swap” time on Saturday, January 10 from 8 to 11 a.m. Books must have their front and back covers intact and be in good condition. CDs and DVDs must be in their original cases and fully operable. Magazines, software, record albums, VHS or cassette tapes, adult content, unauthorized or illegal material will not be accepted. After the event, all unclaimed items will be donated to charitable organizations. This is not a book sale. It is a FREE media swap. Items will not be available for purchase.
Join us for a zesty, Italian-themed evening of music, dancing, and laughter. Experience the sights, sounds, and tastes of Italy — everything from its art and architecture to its mouthwatering pastas and decadent desserts. Feast, play, and dance the night away to all your favorite tunes spun by a professional DJ. The family-friendly event will feature an “all-you-care-to-eat” dinner, character entertainment, games, prizes, and plenty of memorable photo opportunities.
All adults must be accompanied by a child, and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Seating will be open; however, tables will be reserved for parties of six or more. Tickets are only $15 per person, and can be purchased here or at the Ben Robertson Community Center beginning December 22. Advance purchase is required. Tickets are non-refundable after January 30. Children two (2) years of age and under do not need a ticket; however they must sit on an adult’s lap.

Get up-close and personal with larger-than-life trucks, heavy construction and public safety equipment, cool cars and specialty vehicles. Meet vehicle owners and operators, and have a blast watching your kids touch, climb on and interact with this awesome exhibition of transportation. Over 40 vehicles will be on display, along with a variety of other children’s activities. Admission is free. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
Touch-A-Truck is an exciting and educational annual community event hosted by the City of Kennesaw’s Parks & Recreation, Public Works and Police Departments. The City Council meets in the Court Chambers at the back of City Hall. The public is welcomed to attend.
