Jeff Duckett is a native son, having grown up in Smyrna, Marietta and Douglasville.  He attended Douglas County High School, then enlisted in the Air Force where he served for 13 years.  After leaving the military, he returned home to work as an electrician.  He has been President of Handy Electric, Inc. since 1997.

Jeff was elected to the Kennesaw City Council in 2009.  As Council liaison to the Parks & Recreation Department, he focuses on serving the citizens with well maintained parks and facilities and high quality events and concerts.  His greatest challenge is dealing with budgeting realities in a tough economy.  His goal is to continue to provide services and amenities to Kennesaw's residents with lower revenues and without budget cuts.

With his wife Aundie, daughter Abbie and son Patrick, Jeff lives in Legacy Park.  Jeff and Aundie met almost 20 years ago at dance lessons and competed in C & W dancing for a little over 2 years all over the east coast.  They decided to quit competition to start a family. In his free time, Jeff likes to golf, fish and camp and especially enjoys family time and vacations.

Jeff's favorite quote is from Phil 4:6-7 and reveals his strong Christian faith:  Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Jeff is currently serving as the Vice President of the Cobb Munical Association.  He is the Liaison for Parks & Recreation and the Recreation and Culture Board.
