The City of Kennesaw Parks & Recreation Department offers a safe, fun and affordable summer day camp experience for children ages 5-12. Eleven weeks of Kennesaw's All-Star Summer Day Camp will be offered from May 28 to August 6 at the Ben Robertson Community Center. Each week is based on a different theme which is incorporated into scheduled activities whenever possible.
Weekly activity themes are listed below.
Wk 1: Aloha Summer (Sweeten up your summer with an amazing escape to the tropics)
Wk 2: Splashtacular (Beat the heat and stay cool with our wacky water excitement)
Wk 3: Fit Moves (Jump into fitness fun with exciting games and cool active moves)
Wk 4: Hi-Ho Silver (Hit the dusty trail and get lost in the wild, wild west)
Wk 5: Map-'Qwest' (Grab your map and set a course for adventure)
Wk 6: Chef-Boy-It's-Fun (Stir-up your culinary creativity… and make sure to bring your appetite)
Wk 7: All-Star Idol (Take center stage and showcase your All-Star talents)
Wk 8: Can U Dig It (Be inspired as we unlock the secrets of science)
Wk 9: Clowning Around (Be a part of the "greatest show" at camp)
Wk 10: Back 2 The Future (Rock around the clock as we time travel to different decades and beyond)
Wk 11: Last Hurrah (It's a full-week of camp crammed into two action-packed days)
Some weeks may include guest speakers, demonstrations or field trips to area attractions. All camp staff are at least 18 years old, and are CPR/first aid certified. The camp maintains a camper-to-counselor ratio of approximately 10:1. Camp hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Weekly early care and extended care is available.
Over two dozen action packed-sports camps and specialty camps will also be offered.
