General License and Registration Requirements

New businesses must apply for an occupation tax certificate prior to beginning operations. An existing company must renew its certificate and pay taxes each year, no later than March 31.

The deadline for 2010 occupational tax certificate renewals is March 31, 2010. All payments received after that date will be assessed a 10% payment penalty and 1.5% interest per month. Please contact Kimberly Higgins in the Business License office at 770-424-8274, extension 3036, if your business closed in a prior year.

Occupation tax certificates are issued by the City of Kennesaw Business License Office, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. All other services provided by the office are available until 6 p.m.
