Kennesaw is well known as the premier host of special events in the area. The spring Big Shanty Arts & Crafts Festival attracts crowds of more than 50,000. The Pigs & Peaches BBQ Festival is a showcase for pro and amateur cooks alike. And Santa pays an annual visit in the Santa Parade each December. And those events are just for starters!

The City maintains an extensive series of parks and green spaces. The largest park at 42 acres is Swift-Cantrell, featuring playgrounds, trails, pavilions, a dog park, and open areas for passive recreation. Adams Park offers ballfields, batting cages, concessions and tennis courts. The Ben Robertson Community Center provides banquet and classroom facilities, can accomodate groups as large as 250 guests, and has more intimate settings for smaller groups.
