Smith-Gilbert Arboretum
Smith-Gilbert Arboretum
Arboretum [ahr-buh-ree-tuhm]:
A place where many kinds of trees and shrubs are grown for exhibition and study.
Unusual and beautiful blooming trees and shrubs are the foundation of the City of Kennesaw's Smith-Gilbert Arboretum.
The Smith-Gilbert Arboretum features a garden centered around a restored plantation home (circa 1840s).
Visitors will encounter over 3,000 plant species and 30 contemporary sculptures by nationally known artists.
Bird watchers and other lovers of wildlife will also appreciate the peace and sanctuary of the naturalistic woodland surroundings of the 13-acre site.
