Southern Museum to Participate in First Annual Museum Store Sunday

November 12th, 2017 by Pam Davis

The Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History will take part in the first annual Museum Store Sunday as hosted by the Museum Store Association on November 26, 11 am – 6 pm.

Museum Store Sunday is a global event that puts the spotlight on mission-related products found at museum stores worldwide. Holiday shoppers will be able to find quality gifts that support their local cultural institutions.

The Southern Museum will celebrate with special offers, additional discounts, food tastings of our made-in-Georgia Lacey House Brand jams, jellies, and dressings, as well as complimentary gift wrapping for shoppers. All proceeds will support museum programs and initiatives.

Michelle Newman, Retail Services Coordinator, stated, “We are thrilled to participate in this event and look forward to creating a unique and enjoyable shopping experience amidst the busiest holiday shopping weekend!”

“The General Emporium Gift Shop carries a wide-range of items, from a diverse range of toys, trains, and book options for children to unique souvenirs that focus on Kennesaw history and the Great Locomotive Chase.”
