

Kennesaw’s Back to School Jam, the first of its kind by the City of Kennesaw’s Parks & Recreation Department, will be held at the Kennesaw Recreation Center on Saturday, July 15, 2023, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Admission is free and kids will receive school supplies and book bags on a first come first serve basis. Vendors will be on-site providing giveaways and helpful information for families and children. In concurrence with the event, Kennesaw Hoops is hosting a Free Throw and 3-Point Contest for a $2 entry fee per person to patriciate. Participants can register the day of for the contests, before 11:00 AM for the Free Throw contest and before 12:00 PM for the 3-Point contest. Registration for the Kennesaw Hoops – Youth League will be made available on-site and registrants will receive a 10% discount on their purchase.
Activities
The Department of Parks & Recreation is having a 3-Point and Free Throw Contest for a $2 entry fee, a bounce house and Kona Ice! Those interested in participating in the contests, please arrive at the Kennesaw Recreation Center 30 minutes prior to the start time to register. Handicap Only Parking
There is handicap parking within Adams Park at the Recreation Center and the Ben Robertson Community Center. Additional temporary handicap parking will be available at the Recreation Center
The City of Kennesaw mobile app features a parking map for the downtown area. Using the map, app users can see what specific parking lots are open and follow directions to all downtown public parking lots using the phones’ map system. In addition to providing activities for event goers, our goal is to offer a variety of important and helpful information to families from our vendors. Vendor information is outlined below. For questions about vending please email our Recreation Specialist, Reagan Black.
NON-PROFIT VENDORS - On the day of the event, vendors are required to be set up by 10:00 AM (one hour prior to the event start time). Activities will conclude at 1:00 PM. Vendors will be required to remain open for the duration of the event.
Event staff will make final decisions on vendors. Booth locations will be allocated at the discretion of event staff.
