Kennesaw area families do not have to travel far to get a real feel for camping. Get away from it all at Swift-Cantrell Park the
evening of Friday, May 17th through Saturday morning on May 18th at Kennesaw Parks & Recreation’s annual Backyard Campout
event. Enjoy camping under the night sky, along with backyard games, dinner, s'mores, breakfast and more.

Backyard Campout is hosted by Kennesaw Parks & Recreation in support of the National Wildlife Federation's efforts to encourage children and families to experience the outdoors and connect with nature.

This year, elevate your experience with a REI Co-Op prepared tent, set up and ready to go before your arrival! It will be the fun and stress-free camping experience you have been dreaming of! Your REI Co-Op tent for the evening, a 4-person tent standing at 6 feet tall and measuring 8ft.x8ft., will be sure to elevate your camping experience. This tent will have plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the amazing views of the stars with your loved ones thanks to the large mesh paneling! The registration fee is $50 per campsite and includes a hot dog dinner and biscuit breakfast. A limited number of campsites are available. Advance registration is required.
