The Kennesaw Cemetery Preservation Commission works to preserve and restore the Kennesaw City Cemetery, a valuable historical resource located in the heart of downtown Kennesaw’s Historic District.

If meetings are canceled, postponed, and/or rescheduled, notices will be given as required by law. If meetings are conducted via Zoom Meeting, participation information will be provided on the agenda. All meetings are open to the public.

Members

There are seven members of the Cemetery Preservation Commission consisting of three (3) members with family members buried in the city cemetery and/or who own plots in the city cemetery, two (2) members shall be persons who live within city limits, and two (2) members can be persons who live outside city limits.

Appointments

All appointments are made by the Mayor and approved by the City Council.

Members serve staggered 4-year terms.
