May 24th, 2018 by Miranda Jones
The City Manager’s Office is proud to introduce a new class called “Government 101: Kennesaw Government Academy.” The 6-week course is scheduled to start July 2018 and is designed to provide an inside look at the day-to-day operations of the City, how it forms partnerships and how management approaches long-range planning.
The class is open to City of Kennesaw residents and business owners and is slated to begin July 17, 2018. Each week the class will focus on one of Kennesaw’s strategic priorities listed in its strategic plan. Students will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on learning activities, network and hear updates from city staff.
Registration for the inaugural class is limited to the first 15 registrants. The class is open to adults ages 18 and over who are residents of the City of Kennesaw or are business owners within the city limits. Class will meet weekly at City Hall from 6:00-7:30 pm. The inaugural class will culminate with a graduation on August 28, 2018. Candidates running for office are ineligible to participate in the class.
