Kennesaw, GA (August 12, 2024) — The City of Kennesaw’s Planning & Zoning Department will update the Historic District Design Standards and Codes and is seeking community feedback.

A pre-survey will be available from Aug. 12 to Aug. 26 to assess public opinion on current standards. The survey aims to gather insights to ensure updates reflect community needs. Residents are encouraged to participate at www.kennesaw-ga.gov/historicdistrictfeedback.

A Special Called Historic Preservation Commission meeting is scheduled for Sept. 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers. City staff will present proposed changes based on national requirements and survey feedback. The meeting will also serve as an additional data-gathering step before finalizing updates.

The Planning and Zoning Department invites all community members to engage in these events and share their perspectives.
