Authorization for approval of an ORDINANCE granting a de-annexation request submitted by Greysen Manor Subdivision property owners and represented by Debra Williams, HOA President. The petition is defective in that it is not signed by 100% of the property owners and Cobb County has not adopted a resolution consenting to the de-annexation. Because these two prerequisites have not been met, the petition was not considered. No action taken.
Approve RESOLUTION NO. 2018-43, 2018 to adopt the City of Kennesaw Cherokee Street Corridor Urban Redevelopment Plan. Vote taken, approved 4-1 (Councilmember Ferris opposed). Motion carried.
Adopt RESOLUTION NO. 2018-46, 2018 authorizing acquisition of the property required for the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) Sardis Street Extension project (2850 and 2852 Boone Drive). Approved 4-0-1-0 (Councilmember Ferris abstained due to a conflict of interest). Motion carried.
Central Business District (CBD) project approval for properties located along Cherokee Street, submitted by Sanctuary Development, LLC. Subject properties identified as 2985 Cherokee Street, 3007 Cherokee Street and Tax parcel 124 located in Land Lot 138. The project is to relocate two historic houses and the development of a residential community. Vote taken, approved 4-1 (Councilmember Ferris opposed). Motion carried.
Consent Agenda: Approved engross, 5-0. Motion carried.
Approve RESOLUTION NO. 2018-44, 2018 authorizing Banking Services Bid Award and Contract to State Bank & Trust Company.
Authorize RESOLUTION NO. 2018-45, 2018 to approve Cobb County Turnkey Program for Work Force Housing.
