City Hall, including Parks & Rec and Public Works, will be closed for the following holidays: New Year’s Day (January 1), Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 18), Good Friday (April 2), Memorial Day (May 31), Independence Day (July 5), Labor Day (September 9), Thanksgiving (November 25 & 26) and Christmas (December 24 & 27).
Trash collection will be interrupted for the following six holidays only: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. For Monday holidays, trash/recycle routes during the entire week following these holidays will be picked up one day later. For holidays that fall midweek, collections on the days of that week after the holiday will be delayed until the next day (for example, if the holiday is Tuesday, the Tuesday routes are picked up Wednesday, Wednesday picked up Thursday, etc. for the remainder of the week).
Emergency services remain available.

As we reopen City Hall to the public and move towards in-person public meetings, please review the plan below:• If you are not able to attend a meeting in-person and would like to provide public comment on a specific agenda item, you can email email@example.com no later than 6:00 PM the night of the regular meeting. Your comments on a specific agenda item will be read aloud or grouped into categories for the record.• The meeting will be broadcast live on Facebook! Join us at www.facebook.com/CityofKennesaw.• Seating in the City Hall Council Chambers is limited, due to social distancing. Overflow seating will be available at the Ben Robertson Community Center. The meeting will be broadcast at the Community Center & those in attendance will have the opportunity to speak to Mayor & Council via video call for public comment.
• Doors will open at 5:30 PM. All guests will be screened & evaluated upon entrance and will have their temperature taken.
- The City encourages attendees to wear Personal Protective Equipment, including a face covering.
- The City of Kennesaw asks that anyone who has symptoms or has been exposed to anyone having symptoms including, but not limited to, having a fever over 100.4°F, cough, or shortness of breath to please stay home and email their public comment to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Mommy & Me is back! The updated program still has an in-person storytime, a movement activity and art, but it is now a timed, hour-long program with enhanced cleaning that adheres to social distancing and safety guidelines.
Space is limited, and pre-registration is required. Members get early access to registration via email. Public registration via the website opens the Tuesday before each class at 10 AM. An email will be sent confirming your registration. (Please note that your registration is not guaranteed until you receive a confirmation email.) Onsite day of registration if space is available. Classes are at 10 AM and 12 PM so be sure to register for the appropriate time. Included with general admission and free for members!
