City of Kennesaw Parks & Recreation beckons area ghouls, ninjas, superheroes and princesses to “Spook-Central Park” for its annual Fall-O-Ween Fest at Swift-Cantrell Park on Saturday, October 7, from 3:00 – 7:00 PM. Admission is free. Activities include a candy trail, costume contests, scavenger hunt, craft, field games and music. The evening will conclude with a showing of Hotel Transylvania (PG) after sundown. Concessions and unique merchandise from local crafters will be available for purchase.

Event ACTIVITIES

Image

Trick-or-Treat Trail

Dress your children up in their favorite costumes to go trick-or-treating for candy and other goodies at participating booths along the Trick-or-Treat Trail. FREE collection bags will be available on-site, courtesy of Viva Chicken, near the Kennesaw Parks & Rec tent (while supplies last). Along the Trick-or-Treat Trail attendees will find game tents with a variety of activities, both easy and challenging.

Costume Contests

Costume contests will take place every 30 minutes beginning at 3:30 PM and ending at 6:30 PM. Prizes will be awarded to three winners at each time frame. The costume contest is open to all ages and dogs.

Witch Hunt

The Witch Hunt is a photo scavenger hunt throughout the Swift-Cantrell Park. There will be 13 witches hidden around and the photo hints will be posted on the Kennesaw Parks & Rec Facebook and Instagram stories so be sure to follow us. We will be releasing photo clues about their locations the day of the event, so keep checking our page for hints. The winner of our Witch Hunt will receive a $100 gift card to Honeysuckle Biscuits and Bakery! Good luck!

A kid-friendly Halloween themed craft will be available at the General Pavilion to be made on site or to take home. One per person, available while supplies last.

Field Games & Inflatables

There will be a variety of field games available for attendees to play including cornhole, checkers, tic tac toe with pumpkins and more! Pay-to-play inflatables and amusements will be on site.

There will be two photo spots set up near the roundabout for attendees to snap photos with their ghosts, goblins, pumpkins and princesses. One backdrop has a fall theme and the other is spooky!

The evening will conclude with a showing of Hotel Transylvania (PG) after sundown, around 7:00 PM. The family favorite film will be projected onto a giant inflatable screen. For comfort, event attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or low-back chairs. Pop-up tents, canopies or beach umbrellas that can obstruct the view of others will not be permitted.

Location & Parking



The Kennesaw Parks & Recreation's Fall-O-Ween Fest will take place in Swift-Cantrell Park, 3140 Old 41 HWY, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Parking will be available on-site. Additional parking will be available at neighboring Kennesaw Elementary School located at 3155 Jiles Rd, Kennesaw, GA 30144.


Food, Beverage & Merchandise vendors

In addition to providing activities for event goers, our goal is to offer a variety of food items, unique merchandise and unusual gifts for sale. Vendor options are outlined below.

GENERAL MERCHANDISE VENDORS - One 10' x 10' booth space for the sale of general merchandise can be reserved for $50. Examples include candles, t-shirts, cookware and antiques.

NON-PROFIT VENDORS - One 10' x 10' booth space can be reserved by non-profit organizations for $50. Examples include the sale of raffle tickets or other fundraising activities.

FOOD-BEVERAGE VENDORS - One 10' x 10' booth space for the sale of food and beverage items can be reserved for $75 for a single item or $100 for multiple items.

On the day of the event, vendors are required to be set up by 2:30 PM (thirty minutes prior to the event start time). Activities will conclude at 7:00 PM and the movie will begin. Vendors will be required to remain open for the duration of the event and have the option to stay for the movie or leave.

More than one booth space can be reserved for vendors requiring additional space. Event staff will make final decisions on vendors. Booth locations will be allocated at the discretion of event staff.
