If I appeal my property value, do I have to pay my property taxes while in appeal?

Yes. If your property is under appeal, you will receive a Temporary Tax Bill at 85% of the amount due. You are required to pay the bill by the due date in order to avoid interest and fees. A refund and/or an adjusted bill will be provided after the appeal is resolved.

Once Cobb County Board of Equalization makes a final decision on your appeal, they will immediately forward the decision to the City of Kennesaw and appropriate adjustments will be made.
