  • Utility billing (sanitation/stormwater/streets) can be paid by phone at 770-424-8274 (the $3 fee for over the phone payments will be waived during this time), via the City of Kennesaw Online Payment Portal or by dropbox located at City Hall (2529 J.O. Stephenson Avenue, Kennesaw, GA 30144).
    • When paying by check, please include your payment slip with your check to expedite processing.
  • To start sanitation service with the City of Kennesaw, please contact Utility Billing at 770-424-8274, ext 3103 or via email at sanitation@kennesaw-ga.gov. According to Section 74-29, “Private haulers are not allowed to service inside the city limits and fines will be assessed for such violation of the city ordinance.” All residential accounts must be put in the property owner’s name; this applies to all homes that are rented/leased. To view the Sanitation Ordinance, please view the Code of Ordinances.
  • As a reminder, trash and recycle collections are ‘can or cart content’ only. Republic Services will not collect any garbage or recycle items that are not inside the appropriate containers.
  • Bulk material collection can be scheduled by calling Public Works at 770-421-8582.
  • Please be mindful of the green waste ordinance:
    • Green waste should be put in paper biodegradable bags or plastic/metal cans. Bags shall not exceed 50 pounds. Containers shall not be larger than 32-gallon capacity nor weigh more than 50 pounds.
    • There is a limit of 15 bags and/or three containers per regular pick-up for green waste.
    • All branches, limbs and shrubbery shall be cut into lengths of four feet or less, and no single piece shall exceed two inches in diameter and weigh no more than 50 pounds.
    • Branch, limb and shrubbery piles shall be neatly stacked parallel to the street on the resident’s property next to the curb, but in no case shall be placed in such a position that obstructs the sidewalk, gutter, mailbox, free movement of traffic, or hinders collection.
    • There will be a limit of two piles per resident. Piles shall not exceed ten feet long by six feet wide by four feet tall.
  • If there is a need for additional trash to be collected, the customer has two options:
  1. The customer may request an additional trash can for $4 extra per month, and turn it in when there is no longer a need.
  2. The customer may call the Public Works Department to schedule a Bulk Collection for the extra trash. Bulk Collection fees vary.
