Join Kennesaw Parks & Recreation for their latest Art in the Park – Candle Making! Attendees will make their own candles using high-quality wax, wicks and natural essential oils! There will be two sessiond and each session will last an hour and a half and will include lessons on wax melting, pouring and wick placing. Attendees will also be able to decorate their candle canisters with charms and magnets that will be provided.  There will also be labels and items that participants can decorate to denote the scent of the candles and/or write a nice note if it will be given as a gift All supplies will be included in the price, and no experience is necessary. Lights snacks will be available during the event. Participants are welcome to bring their own food to the event.

Attendees will have the opportunity to create two (2) 8 ounce candles in black tins. These events are for atendees 18 and up.Candles will need to be left for 24 hours at the community center to harden and set completely.  After that time, participants can return to pick up their creations!  

There will be a variety of scents available for each session. Grandma’s Garden (Organic French Lilac, French Lavender), Citrus Soy Comfort Zone (Natural essential oils of lemon verbena, lemongrass and a hint of orange), Scents of Bali (Natural essential oils of Patchouli, Musk, Lily of the Valley, Sandalwood and Violet), and Soy Bonita (Organic oils of Rosebuds and Lavender).Make a candle at Art in the Park as a gift for mother’s day or sign up with your mother for some fun and bonding while making candles.
