Fall Break – Our Town: Then & Now

Looking for some family-friendly fun during fall break? Join us at the Southern Museum for educational activities and crafts each day!
Tuesday: Passing Kennesaw – Learn about the passenger trains that ran along the track outside of the Museum during staff-guided tours of the historic Kennesaw Depot.
Wednesday: Our Local College – Investigate maps and photos to uncover the evolution of Kennesaw State University, then create a map of the current campus with the help of museum staff.
Thursday (normal Mommy and Me hours 9:30-12:30): – Community Starts with C – “Community” starts with C and so do “chef,” “cooking” and “culinary.” Let’s meet the community helpers of 1885 Grill Kennesaw that create delicious meals for us.
Friday: Books on the Go – Meet the Museum Archivist in the Reading Room for story times about the first mobile libraries and then follow it up with a craft hosted by the Cobb County Book Mobile.
