Kennesaw Parks Announces Movie Lineup for Outdoor Series

April 3rd, 2018 by Lindsey Pritchard

Outdoor movies return to Swift-Cantrell Park on Saturday, May 5 with a free screening of Disney-Pixar’s animated film Coco (rated PG).

The 2018 Academy Award winner for “Best Animated Feature” explores the traditions of the Day of the Dead, a child’s desire to become a musician despite his family’s wishes, and the power of unconditional love. Told from the point of view of Miguel (voiced by Anthony Gonzalez).

The movie will be projected onto a giant inflatable screen after sundown. Arrive at 6 pm for pre-movie entertainment, giveaways, and outdoor fun. Moviegoers should bring a blanket or low-back chairs. Pop-up tents, canopies, or beach umbrellas that can obstruct the view of others are not permitted. Concessions will be available for purchase.

Swift-Cantrell Park is located at 3140 Old 41 Highway. Parking is available inside the park and at neighboring Kennesaw Elementary School.

Future dates in the family-friendly series include Moana (rated PG) on Saturday, June 2; and Star Wars: The Last Jedi (rated PG-13) on Saturday, October 13.

Titles are subject to change; cancellations may occur due to weather conditions.
