Event-Specific Rules

• Seating & Chair Setup:
  • Chairs may only be placed in the park after 7 AM on the day of an event. Chairs placed earlier, in restricted areas, or impeding event setup will be removed.
  • Chairs must not damage turf. Anti-sink feet are required. Only collapsible lawn/camp chairs are allowed, but footrests, side tables, canopies, and other attachments are not permitted. No patio-style chairs.
  • Reserving areas with ropes, tarps, plastic, or other material is not allowed. This includes tethering chairs together with any material. These items will be removed. Towels or blankets used to reserve a space must be 50” x 60” or smaller.
  • Sitting on amphitheater walls is not allowed.
  • Seating is allowed at the discretion of event staff. Items may be moved or removed if necessary.
  • The City is not responsible for lost, stolen, or removed items.
• Prohibited Items at Events:
  • Coolers larger than 20 quarts
  • Carts/wagons must be unloaded and collapsed
  • Helium-filled balloons, flags, market/patio umbrellas (handheld umbrellas not permitted during shows)
  • Hammocks, laser pointers, noisemakers, bullhorns
  • Recording devices
  • Distribution of flyers, pamphlets, or brochures
  • Any item deemed disruptive, unsafe, or damaging to turf by event staff
• Additional Event Rules
  • A sound ordinance is in effect at 11:00 PM. All amplified sound must end by this time.
  • All attendees and belongings must be packed up and out of the park within 30 minutes after the event ends.
  • ADA-accessible seating is available at all events.
  • General park rules apply to all events.

ADA Accessibility & Wheelchair Seating Information

We are committed to ensuring all guests have an enjoyable and accessible experience at the Kennesaw Concert Series. The venue provides designated ADA seating areas for wheelchair users and their companions.

• Wheelchair-Accessible Seating
  • ADA seating areas are located at the center section of the amphitheater lawn and are clearly marked.
  • Each ADA seat includes space for one wheelchair and an adjacent companion seat.
  • Companion seating is limited to two guests and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Access & Entry
  • Ramps and pathways provide accessible entry to designated seating areas.
  • Guests requiring ADA seating should park in the Main Street Plaza parking lot, located at . Guests will then proceed through the pedestrian underpass and up the ramp through the outdoor classroom to the amphitheater. Limited ADA parking is also available at the Depot Park Parking Lot. If parking in the Depot Park Parking Lot, proceed down the sidewalk on Cherokee Street to access the ramp to the amphitheater.
  • Event staff will be available to assist with seating as needed.

General Park Rules
(General Park Rules remain in effect during events.)

• Vehicles & Transportation: Vehicles must be parked in designated lots. Motorized vehicles, skateboards, bicycles, scooters, and inline skates are not allowed in the park.
• Substances & Smoking: The use of tobacco, e-cigarettes, and illegal drugs is prohibited.
• Pets: Pets are not allowed on the turf and must be on a leash.
• Prohibited Items & Activities: Hazardous personal property is not allowed. Drones, fireworks, confetti, glass bottles, and containers are prohibited. Open flames, fuel-powered lanterns, and charcoal/gas grills are not permitted.
• Structures & Signage: Unauthorized tables, tents, canopies, signage, and staking flags are not allowed. Decorations or temporary fixtures may not be attached to park structures, including trash cans, benches, railings, or the stage, using tape, nails, tacks, or staples.
• Turf Restrictions: Tables, tents, and canopies are not allowed on the turf. Activities that could damage the turf are prohibited.
• Sound & Entertainment: Amplified sound is not allowed. Music must be kept at a low volume. Unauthorized special entertainment or equipment (e.g., inflatables, dunk tanks) is not permitted.
• Commercial Use: Sales of any kind require prior approval from the Parks & Recreation Director.

Amphitheater Usage

• The United Bankshares Amphitheater at Depot Park is not available for rental.
