The City of Kennesaw Parks & Recreation Department takes pride in providing safe, healthy and fun opportunities for kids to keep active all year long, including week-long summer day camps, school break camps, action-packed sports camps and unique specialty camps.

Camp Venture Summer Day Camp

During Summer break, youth ages 6–12 can build confidence, make friends, and enjoy nine weeks of themed activities at Camp Venture Summer Day Camp.

Each week features a new theme with hands-on activities, games, arts & crafts, and occasional guest speakers, demonstrations, or field trips.

The Kennesaw Teen Academy 

The Kennesaw Teen Academy offers summer camp opportunities for Rising 6th - 8th graders. This summer program directly addresses the challenges and opportunities that exist for this generation's teen.

Some areas addressed include: STEAM, Career and College Planning, literacy, mental health, healthy eating, fitness, financial literacy, and the Arts.

Specialty Camps

Looking for something a little different? Our specialty camps offer unique experiences for campers to dive deeper into their favorite hobbies or try exciting new activities!

  • Sports Camps: Enhance athletic skills, teamwork, and confidence through sports-specific training and fun games.

  • Arts & Crafts Camps: Inspire creativity with painting, sculpture, DIY projects, and more.

  • STEM & Science Camps: Spark curiosity with hands-on experiments, coding, robotics, and problem-solving challenges.

  • Performing Arts Camps: Dance, act, and perform in an encouraging environment that fosters confidence and expression.

  • Break Camps: Kennesaw Parks and Recreation offers a variety of camps during Cobb County Community Schools student break calendar.
