To assure that we are providing the highest level of service to our community, the Kennesaw Police Department Criminal Investigations Division (CID) collects and maintains statistical data reports on dispatched calls for service and self-initiated activities that are rendered by our police officers. These reports provide up-to-date statistics on arrests, traffic enforcement, and crimes that are classified as Group A by the Federal Bureau of Investigations using the National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS) system. Some major Group A crimes are:

  • Assault
  • Motor Vehicle Theft
  • Burglary
  • Homicide
  • Larceny
  • Sex Offenses
  • Robbery
  • Arson*

* Arson crimes are investigated and reported by the Cobb County Fire Department

The data from these reports are used to identify patterns and trends of activity, improve crime detection rates, prevent crime, and more importantly, educate the community. We have included our most current crime reports below.
